Kicking Off Favorite Finds Friday {Recent Shopping Scores}

It's Friday and I've decided that from now on I'm going to start posting some of my favorite things every Friday just for fun.  I might share favorite shopping finds, cool projects I've seen online, a favorite moment I experienced during the week...you get the idea.

Today, I'm sharing some of my recent shopping finds -- some that were total bargains, and others that were just love at first sight.

Find Number One
A two-fer.  Translation:  Two favorite finds that look great together.

#1.  The plant pot.  I found it at one of my favorite Texas grocery stores -- Central Market. (If you live near one, you'll know what I'm talking about.)  It wasn't a deal ($12) but I just couldn't resist it's cute patina.  I couldn't put it outside either because then I couldn't look at it every day.  It's on my kitchen table holding some fresh rosemary.

#2.  The white colander with legs.  Isn't it the CUTEST colander ever?!  I found it at World Market.  I actually bought it to use as a colander because my vegetable and fruit-loving husband is always washing produce and leaving a colander or strainer on the counter so I decided something pretty was in order.   Then, on a whim, I put the plant inside of it and decided right then and there it wouldn't be used as a functioning kitchen tool.  I. Love. It.  I guess I'll still be hunting for a cute and functional colander.

Find Number Two

Three blue and white plates from Goodwill.

I don't care that there were only three.  I don't care that one had a couple of small barely noticeable chips.  At a buck a piece, I think they were a steal.  I am thrilled!

Deal Number Three

Hello, cute little demi-john wine bottle for just $2.50 at Goodwill.  I think I will take you  home!

Find Number Four

After being inspired by the little wire basket with live plants on the island of my dream kitchen...

I found this cute little wire basket at Hobby Lobby for $4 (after using a coupon.)

Thank you, Hobby Lobby.  I can always count on you for helping me stay on-budget when trying to knock-off my favorite decor!

Favorite Find Number Five

While browsing through plants at Home Depot, I spied these cute little scalloped terra cotta pots.  For $4.98, I was sold!

I brought home three.  Aren't you supposed to always decorate in odd numbers?  One just seemed too lonely. (Smile.)

What are some of your favorite finds?  I'd love to hear about them!  Share them on my Facebook page or in the comments below.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm loving your knock off basket. I have one similar that I got at Laurie Anna's Vintage Home.

I love Central Market!! I get their organic chocolate truffles all the time. My local HEB sells them too. I really need to go to Hob Lob and get one of those wire baskets before they're all gone. I'll just add it to my never ending Hobby Lobby list I keep on my phone. :) Sometimes I take my hubby with me so I can use two coupons. LOL!
