Hometalk Round Top Blogger Event Reminder

I'm driving down to Round Top, Texas today for the big Antiques Fair and tomorrow's big Hometalk Blogger Meet-up that I'm co-hosting with Randi from Dukes & Duchesses.

We'll be meeting in front of Cole's Antiques in Warrenton at 9 a.m. If you're there, please look for us and say, "hi!"

Fall on the Front Porch

I'm keeping my fall decor really simple this year.

No corn stalks, scare crows or pumpkins adorn my front door.

I'm just not in the mood.

Maybe it's the higher than average temperatures that keep me from getting really in to it.

Maybe it's because so many of my pumpkins and gourds rotted before the season ended last year.

Or, maybe it's just because I think simple just suits me a little better this year.

A Simple Fall Table

My mother is great at creating a welcoming and festive table.

She doesn't go crazy with all kinds of fancy things, she just spreads a pretty tablecloth on the table, uses her best dishes, glassware and silver and finds a few things to use as a center piece.

It's simple, yet pretty.
