Rain, Rain Go Away!

If you have been watching the news you have most likely heard about the floods that we are experiencing here in Texas.  Our back yard has small pools of standing water and we are generally feeling very soggy and waterlogged.

We primarily spent our Memorial weekend watching movies and keeping ourselves busy indoors but we did manage to enjoy a few stretches of dry weather.  Sadly, there were no outdoor picnics or barbecues for us this year.

A Little Grace

Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all you moms! I hope you had a wonderful day.

I spent the day resting and relaxing — it was just what I needed. My sweet daughter served me breakfast and gave me a book and a poem she made just for me.

My son no longer makes me home-made gifts now that he’s in middle school, but he still gives me great hugs and tells me he loves me so I can’t ask for more than that. Plus, flowers. They know how much I love flowers, so this bunch of hydrangeas makes me happy. (more…)
