It’s easy to get bogged down in the seemingly mundane tasks of being a mom. It’s easy to take it all for granted and let yourself get frustrated and bored with it all.
I ran across this printable from the Moments a Day blog and just had to share it with you all.
I have just one more thing to add:
I’m grateful for resources like blogs and friends who help remind us that all these little things really do deserve our gratitude. Some day when I’m an empty nester I’ll be longing for the muddy soccer cleats tossed on the floor and cooking for a family instead of just two.
Today I am grateful for my family, our crazy schedules and muddy shoes — yes, even the muddy shoes!
By the way, if you’d like to print out the poster above, please click on the link to the Moments a Day blog where there is a downloadable PDF file.
Having been a Mom to littles who are now grown, and being retired, I enjoyed BOTH times of my life. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my kids. I believe it is the hardest job anyone can have. Then I went back to work when they went to school. All along the way I have been grateful for what I had. Have a beautiful day!!!
Yes, treasure each moment, each muddy footprint, each broken item that was the result of a soccer ball being bounced in the house, the laughter of many kids being in the house when you are tired and the laundry is piled to the ceiling as you worked long hours….treasure the last minute runs to the store to gather items for the science project….for it all goes by so quickly…and soon you will be wiping the muddy footprints of their children…and believe me they are the cutest footprints you will ever see!…You are a great mom and they are grateful for you too!
