Each week, we so so many beautiful and inspiring links and now, we can really tell that Spring is in the air!

Let’s get started with this week’s featured host:

Hi my name is Barb and I blog at The Everyday Home.

I am almost afraid to say it for risking that I may jinx it  – but I think Spring has

arrived for us here in Eastern NC.  At least it has inside our home.

Earlier this week, I shared a quick ‘n easy way to add some Spring to your home

in an unexpected way…

Tulips Bulbs in Mason Jars {Mason Jar Monday}

It just hit me today that Easter is only five weeks away!  Here I was thinking it was way too soon to start decorating for Easter and it turns out that it isn’t!

I really enjoy bringing touches of the Easter season to my home — especially since I traveled to Germany for the first time almost a decade ago.  The Germans really know how to create a simple, and beautiful Easter display.  They don’t go overboard and crazy, but it seems to be just right and so gorgeous.

So, for today’s monthly edition of Mason Jar Monday, I thought it would be fun to create something simple that reminds me of Germany.

When I think of Easter in Germany, I think of fresh flowers. It seems like they have vibrant and simple arrangements ranging from a single flower in a vase, to a big, beautiful bunch.

I use Mason jars as vases a lot, but this time I wanted to try something different. I decided it would be fun to try planting tulip bulbs in Mason jars — the flowers last longer this way!

Easter Silhouette Plates

We have had so much ice, snow and sleet lately that I nearly forgot it’s March!   That means that Easter is right around the corner.  What?!

When I created my Easter Mantel last year, I made some little bunny silhouette plates but, somehow, never managed to post about them here.

These Easter silhouette plates are so easy it’s just crazy.

Easter Mantel

You’ve probably noticed something about all of my seasonal mantel changes…

they always include my arched window and my tall candle holders.

Why?

Because I like them there and don’t feel compelled to find a different home for them.   I bought them specifically for their height and scale for my mantel space so they’ll be there for awhile.

It’ seems very un-blogger like to keep using the same stuff in the same place but  I’m okay with that.

Do you do that, too?

I simply adjust, move and tuck other festive things here and there to freshen things up for each season.

I’ve done it again with my Easter mantel.

I kept things pretty simple this year.

Simple seems to be my word lately.

Speaking of simple…this Easter bunting from Target is cute and no-fuss.

(By the way, it was only $5! )

I’m also over the moon for my little silhouette plates I made for next to nothing and they took me literally a few minutes to make.

I’ll share more on those later this week.

Are you decorating for Easter yet?

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Spring Place Setting

I love the colors of spring.  It’s all so fresh and pretty, don’t you think?

I found a few spring things for my table and thought I’d take them for a test drive to see if they’re keepers or if they need to go back to the store.

This is just a quick try at mixing it all together.

I like it.  Not theme-y but yet, very spring.

I bought the chargers at Pier 1 with a gift card I got for Christmas.  I think they’re so cute!

The pink plates are new, too.  I found them at Home Goods.  They only had two, but I think they’ll be cute mixed and matched with other plates I already own.  And, I absolutely love them with my brown Spode Delamere plates.

I bought the green napkins on clearance at Target last year.  I think they look good with my new table runner from Home Goods — $12.99 y’all!

I have to point out another bargain.  See the egg stand?  Five bucks at Wisteria last spring!!  I’ve waited all year to use it!

Now I’m in the mood for a delicious Easter dinner!

Thanks for stopping by!
