One Room Challenge, Mishaps and Spring Blooms

This is not the post I intended to be writing this week.

I was hoping I would be updating you with pictures of my incredible pool bath progress and that you wouldn’t have really noticed that I didn’t provide an update last week.

Unfortunately, that’s not what I’m sharing today and I’m in a bit of a funk about it.

Remember when I mentioned that I couldn’t paint the room right away because I pulled a muscle in my forearm doing yard work so it needed to rest a few days?  Well, it’s going to need to rest a lot longer than a few days.  Two-weeks post injury not only did I still have pain, but my pinky and ring fingers were going numb so I went to the doctor.

He told me I have “tennis elbow” and also the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrist.  As a result, I’m wearing a cute compression wrap around my arm and I cannot not use my arm much for 2 more weeks!  The worst part?  I’m right-handed and of course, this is my right arm I’m talking about.  Even using the computer mouse makes my hand go a little numb so I can’t even do much on the computer. (I’m cheating a little today.)

So, friends, I am not going to get my bathroom done in the the time frame of the 6-week One Room Challenge.

I am so, so disappointed!  I really wanted to get this bathroom completed.

I know that it will just get pushed back a few weeks, but I was getting really excited.  I purchased most everything I needed to complete the project and I was raring to go!

The bright side is that despite the fact that mulching and planting got me in to this predicament, I am happy that my flowers are looking really nice right now.

So, instead of the ORC room update and progress, I’m going to share a few pictures of some blooms in my yard and flower pots.  They definitely brighten my day:

Despite the fact that DIY projects and computer work are a little tough or not possible at the moment, I am still posting regularly on Instagram.  I hope you’ll join me there!

When I’m able, I will tackle that bathroom like a boss!

Oh no, that isn’t fun. I can sympathize…I pulled a muscle in my back working in the yard and now my patio project is stuck in park for at least another week.
Your flowers look so pretty and your bathroom will be awesome when you get to it! Hang in there and take it easy.

Oh no! I can relate. My tennis elbow and carpal tunnel act up at the most inconvenient times. Just rest up and soon you’ll be back to operational.
