Bathroom Progress {One Room Challenge Week 3}

It’s Week 3 of the One Room Challenge hosted by Calling it Home. I started a week late so this is only my second post, but it is week 3 so we are halfway through the challenge. If you missed last week’s post, you can find it here.

I’d like to be able to tell you that everything is moving right along. The fact is, however, I painted my bathroom this week, and I don’t like it at all.

The beautiful light french gray with blue undertones paint that I chose reads as powder baby blue on my walls.

The wall on the right looks like the color I wanted it to look, but the wall with the door and the rest of the room reads powder blue — particularly when the lights are off — in which case it’s very, very bright light blue.

My daughter thinks the powder blue is pretty. And, if that’s what I was going for, I would agree that it’s a nice color. It’s just not what I wanted. And, my husband hates baby blue so it’s just not going to work. (more…)

Share it One More Time Inspiration Party #51

Happy Saturday, friends! I am so happy it’s the weekend — things are busy, busy, busy with the school year now in full swing and the hub of all the activities in which my kids are active. Life is hectic around here and sometimes I don’t know if I’m coming or going.

And, as a result, I’ve made the difficult decision to step down from co-hosting this weekly link party. It has truly been an honor to be a part of this inspiration party — to get to know more of you talented bloggers who link up each week and to partner with this caring and creative Share it One More Time team.

Share it One More Time Inspiration Party #50

Good morning, friends! Last week I told you how I was contemplating when to start with my fall decorating. Given the fact that the weather has been hot and humid, it hasn’t exactly sparked that “fall feeling,” nonetheless, I was inspired to get going indoors after I found a few cute goodies to add to my fall collection.

Hi everyone! It’s Barb with The Everyday Home.

Fifty! Five-Oh! Can you believe we are celebrating our 50th Party already? The time has really passed quickly, and we have seen hundreds and hundreds of amazing DIY’s, Crafts and Recipes and so much more. And we thank each of you so much for being a part of this weekly Link Party and helping it grow. We realize there are lots and lots of Link Parties to choose, and we cannot say thank-you enough for choosing our Share It One More Time Inspiration Party. I am very sad to say we will be saying good-bye to three of our co-hosts. (insert sad face) Janet with Shabbyfufu, Lory with Designthusiasm and Julie with Lilacs and Longhorns have decided to move on to other projects. Tammy and I will miss them, and we wish them all the best of luck. But, the party will go on and we look forward to your future shares.

Share it One More Time Inspiration Party #46

Happy Saturday, friends!

Today, we are wrapping up a vacation with my family for our last hurrah of summer. I can hardly believe that school starts for my kids next week. Hosting this party every week makes me realize how quickly time flies and how each week goes by in the blink of an eye.

Because we have been traveling quite a bit this summer, I haven’t been sharing much new stuff, but once the kids are back in school, I hope to be bringing you more projects and decor.
