Take Time to Smell the Roses

About this time every year I find myself in a mad dash to get a million things done so I can fully enjoy the lazy days of summer.  It just hit me the other day that my kids will be home for the summer in seven short weeks — yikes!

Until then, I have a spare room/den makeover to complete, yard work to do, a window treatment to make for the kids bathroom, and a myriad of other things to get done before I’m swept up in end of the school year madness.

However, when I received the new camera lens I ordered the other day, I took some time to play around with it and take some pictures around my yard.

Is there anything as beautiful in the world as flowers?

I have a lot of spring planting yet to do, but I am really enjoying some of my perennials and the few containers I’ve planted so far.

Kitty seems to enjoy them too!

I’ll share more of my garden soon.
