Amazing Blue Margaritas
Happy Cinqo de Mayo!
I’ve been wanting to share this recipe for awhile but today seemed like the perfect day being the 5th of May and all.
This is actually my husband’s recipe and, if you ask me, it’s the best. Trust me, they’re really good and I haven’t met anyone who hasn’t liked them (and I don’t think they were just being nice).

Moscow Mules Recipe and a Free Offer
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of CANADA DRY – a registered trademark of Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. ©2014 Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
There’s no question, I love a good recipe. Ordinarily, you’ll find me posting about pecan pie or my family’s “farmer cookie” recipe but, I swear I love a good beverage recipe when I find one. Today I’m sharing a tasty and fun drink that I discovered through friends — the Moscow Mule.
It’s the perfect drink for holiday entertaining or during any season. Mules are typically made with ginger beer, but I’ll be honest, after a few sips the ginger flavor is a little too much for my taste buds. Then I accidentally discovered I could make them with ginger ale. It gives you a very similar taste without the bite of strong ginger. Here’s the recipe I use:
2 0z. vodka 2 0z. lime juice 3-4 oz. Canada Dry Ginger ale (or any amount to suit your taste)I made this batch using this fun shaker I received from Canada Dry.
I simply mixed the vodka and lime juice together in the shaker, then added the ginger ale. Then I poured the mixture over ice in to my Moscow Mule copper mug.
Here’s what makes this drink extra fun…kids can make their own non-alcoholic version! Here’s how my kids make it themselves:
1 cup ginger ale 2 tsp. lime juiceThey poured the ingredients in to the Canada Dry shaker and then gave it a light shake and a couple of swirls around and poured it in to their own mule mug.
My kids love making their own drinks!
