Happy Cinqo de Mayo!
I’ve been wanting to share this recipe for awhile but today seemed like the perfect day being the 5th of May and all.
This is actually my husband’s recipe and, if you ask me, it’s the best. Trust me, they’re really good and I haven’t met anyone who hasn’t liked them (and I don’t think they were just being nice).
Amazing Blue Margaritas
In a blender add:
One 12 fluid oz. package of frozen limeade
1/2 – 3/4 c. tequila (we use Jose Cuervo Silver)
1 -2 shots Blue Curacao liqueur (he’s not exactly sure how much he uses because he never measures but he’s pretty certain it’s 1 -2 shots…just experiment and add it to taste)
Fill the blender to the top with ice cubes (allowing enough room to securely put on the lid) and then blend until smooth.
(by the way, there’s no need for salt on the rim of the glass for this margarita)
They’re perfect for Cinqo de Mayo or for a summer evening spent on the patio.
Enjoy!

Today, I’m thankful for my sweet hubby who not only makes killer margaritas, but is the smartest man I know, is a great dad and soccer coach and would go to the ends of the earth for me and his entire family. I am blessed.
