I don’t know about you, but I have been enjoying all of the holiday home tours in Blogland this season. The inspiration just doesn’t stop and it’s hard to pull away from the computer and get things done!
Fortunately, I was able to tear myself away and finished up my holiday decorating this weekend. It’s really looking like Christmas around here and I’m excited to start sharing it all with you!
Today, I’m thrilled to be joining a large group of bloggers for an amazing tour filled with holiday crafts, projects and decor.
Links to all of the projects are at the end of this post.
The Home for Christmas tour is hosted by Homtalk.com and CountryLiving.com and you can easily follow along by clicking the links below and/or searching the hashtag #HomeForChristmas
Today, I’m sharing a super simple project using an old louvered closet door. It’s my repurposed Christmas display:
Bits and pieces of this project may look familiar to you if you are a regular reader.
I used my old louvered closet door that served as the backdrop for my Advent Calendar last year and the chalkboard tags were used for my 5-Minute Fall decor this fall.
I put the burlap bags used for my Advent calendar somewhere else this year, so that left this space wide open for a little decor.
I took a little wreath (that’s actually a candle ring) and hung it from some ribbon I already had. (I used a small “S” hook to hang the wreath.)
I wrote on my chalk tags “God Jul” (that’s Merry Christmas in Norwegian — a nod to my family heritage) and then I cut a little more ribbon from my stash and hung the the ribbon using clothes pins.
There are just so many ways to use an old louvered door!
And the best part is that it’s just as easy as pie!
I hope you’ll take the time to browse through all of the links below. There are so many wonderful projects that you are sure to be inspired!
Grab a cup of tea (or the beverage of your choice) and stay awhile!
I need to find a shutter – this is so cute – pinned it!

You can’t go wrong with shutters. I love what you did with it!
I love your display. Shutters are my favorite thing to use.
Very cute!
I love your Norwegian advent calendar! Pinned to share 🙂
So simple and sweet. (now to find some old shutters)
Such a cute idea! I’ve got four shutters in the basement! I might have to dig those out!
