Christmas Hot Chocolate Station

Oh, what a busy week it is!

There are so many wonderful Christmas tours of all kinds and today, I am super excited to show you more of my holiday home as part of the Welcome Home Tour.  Look for the links at the bottom of this post.

For the last few years I have turned our butler’s pantry in to a hot chocolate station for my family to enjoy.  My kids LOVE this so much they can hardly wait for the weather to turn cold so I’ll set this up.

Each year I tweak it just a little bit to suit our needs (and just because it’s fun!).

This year I added our coffee maker in to the mix.

Truthfully, my husband and I have never been much for drinking coffee (I prefer tea), but this year he has been drinking more and more coffee so it’s handy to keep the coffee maker on the counter instead of in the pantry where it used to reside.

I also added a new tea cannister, so really, this spot is actually a hot drink station — not just hot cocoa.

Unlike last year, I am only displaying two of our Christmas mugs.

Christmas mugs and marshmallows

They belong to my kids and I bought them at Walmart last year.

The glass snowman has been around for years.  He actually came with my husband when we got married!  He’s the perfect canister for mini marshmallows. He got a new ribbon scarf this year.

The kids keep their hot chocolate simple.  They like the little Swiss Miss packets and then they add a few marshmallows or a candy cane.

The straws are just because they’re festive.
The finishing touch for the hot beverage bar was a cute little sign I got from Minted.com.

I found a red frame I had from IKEA and popped it inside.  It doesn’t fit the frame perfectly but I don’t care!

The bar has been set up for about two weeks and I have already re-loaded all the hot chocolate, the candy canes and the marshmallows!  Needless to say, this spot is a hit!

Now it’s time to see more of the blogs on the tour this week!

What a cute hot chocolate station! I miss drinking hot chocolate since giving up sugar. I’m a coffee and tea drinker. My husband has only been a tea drinker until lately. He’s asked for coffee a few times….what’s up with that? You did a beautiful job on your hot chocolate/ beverage station. It’s perfectly styled and ready for the season!
