I can’t remember when it all started, but when I was growing up I spent a lot of time re-arranging my room. One day my bed would be under the window, the next day it would be against the wall. I think the furniture in my room never sat still for longer than a month!
I don’t re-arrange furniture very often any more, but I do like to change up small touches in my house and create little vignettes here and there. It’s a whole lot easier to re-arrange and style little decorative items and it doesn’t make my back hurt!
Last week, I showed you how I styled my foyer table. And, today, I’m showing you my coffee table vignette.
It’s easy to style any table if you consider these four elements:
Varying Heights
Texture
Color
Grouping Small Items Together
I love to use trays on my coffee table. Trays help corral several items together and they create order. Too many random things look cluttered and chaotic.
I also love having plants in my vignettes. They can add height, color and texture.
Plus, plants add some life — even if they’re faux.
Is the succulent real or faux? I’ll never tell!
I can’t guarantee this vignette will be the same next month or even tomorrow, but that’s what makes it fun!

Thank you, Lanita! I’m so glad were inspired! 🙂
Lovely arrangement! I am fond of the baby succulent whether faux or real (it looks very real btw).
I totally agree with you about using trays on coffee tables, or any tabletop. Your wood tray is very pretty!
