Like most of the northern hemisphere, I am ready for spring.
So, when I was asked to participate in a Spring mantle tour by Melissa from Daisy Mae Belle and Sonya from At Home with the Barkers, I was definitely game.
I got busy finding spring touches to breathe some fresh air in to the winter doldrums.
I started by keeping my chalkboard wreath that I made for my Christmas décor this year.
I was going to erase it after Christmas but I decided that it might work for more than one season.
I think it looks like a spring wreath now, don’t you?
To decorate the mantle, I shopped my house and decided to use faux blooms and preserved boxwood so my spring mantle can last for awhile.
I love the spring flowers with the pretty blue and white vase and happiness jar.
I think spring is all about vivid, fresh colors.
It doesn’t take much effort to bring spring indoors.

I adore your chalkboard wreath! Never would have guessed that those were faux blooms, I’ve got to pick some up for my house… I never have the time/patience to constantly swap out fresh flowers but I love the way they look. Great mantle!
Thank you Jesica!
So pretty and fresh – and I love the wood on that chalkboard frame!
Thanks, Laura!
