I’m Ready for Spring!

I think it’s safe to say that most everyone in the U.S. is more than ready for spring.

It’s been the coldest and gloomiest winter that I’ve ever had here in Texas and this is my 19th year in this state.

When the weather starts getting me down I like to treat myself to some fresh flowers.

I picked up these tulips the other day at the grocery store and they make me smile every time I look at them.

There’s nothing like fresh flowers to lift my spirits.

Really, florals of any kind make me happy.

The other day I found some botanical prints that I couldn’t pass up.

I bought four and am still looking for frames for them.

In the meantime, they’re leaning up against walls here and there as I find a home for them.

What do you do to help you get rid of the winter blahs?

I hope you’re staying warm and are feeling hopeful for spring today.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. The flowers are lovely. I like how you have them displayed. The winter has indeed been long. I have some small purple flowers (not sure of the name) displayed on the table. I also added some cherry blossom/Eiffel Tower napkins to the table display. Just little peeks of spring color, but they seem to brighten the room and bring remembrances that spring is not too far away. I look forward to your blog posts. You always inspire me in my decorating.

You and me both Sista! I adore tulips, just wish they lasted longer. They are so pretty this time of year. Enjoy, Spring is right around the corner.

I understand! When the sun doesn’t shine my brain doesn’t work and nothing much gets done. Thank goodness it has been sunny the last day or so. It’s cold so I just look at it through the window.

When winter is getting me down I play fun music, turn on all the lights, call friends, make plans, and drink caffeine. That’s the ticket!
