I wanted to title this post “more home and garden inspiration than you can shake a stick at” but then most of you would be scratching your heads wondering what in the heck that even means!
“More than you can shake a stick at” is a crazy saying my dad often says. For example, “The store down the street carries more hardware than you can shake a stick at.” I have no idea where he got that phrase or who in the world shakes sticks at things but, he uses it when he’s talking about a whole lot of something.
Today, I’m talking about a whole lot of something!
bHome is this awesome new app for iPhone and iPad (Android is coming very soon) that is bursting with fabulous home and garden inspiration.
I have briefly mentioned the app here before and you may have noticed that I have this graphic on my sidebar.
Today, I’m excited to tell you more about this awesome app and I am so proud to be a part of it!
About bHome
bHome is a curated group of almost 40 amazing design bloggers and magazines. It’s a place to get inspired, connect and share and it is growing! New blogs are being added weekly. You’ll recognize many of your favorites are already there such as The Lettered Cottage, Stone Gable, Savvy Southern Style, Miss Mustard Seed, Funky Junk Interiors, Thistlewood Farms, Lilacs & Longhorns (that’s me!), HGTV, Country Living, Better Homes and Gardens and many, many more!
You’ll see their social media and blog content on the app, and you have the ability to pin, share on Twitter and Instagram, chat, send messages and the list goes on!
Because it’s an App, it’s totally portable. It’s “on-the-go.” In other words, you can take it everywhere with you! For busy taxi drivers moms like me having eye candy at the ready is so awesome! If I could add up all the minutes I spend sitting in carpool line (not driving, just sitting), waiting for soccer practice to end, waiting at the dentist/doctor, waiting at piano lessons, etc. the numbers would probably make me a little dizzy.
Now that there’s bHome, I can spend those minutes swiping, tapping, sharing and saving all things home while I’m on the go! (Just to be clear…absolutely, positively do not drive while using this app!)
Oh…and did I mention that it is all FREE?!!
My good friend Kelly from My Soulful Home developed the app with her husband and it is amazing and simple to use.
Here’s how it works in a nutshell:
Tap the star next to your favorite blog (of course, I know you’ll be tapping Lilacs & Longhorns, right?!) or magazine so that the blog and all it’s social media content (including Pinterest pins!) starts showing up in your feed
You’ll immediately start getting all of the latest in one place.
In addition, you can interact with your favorite bloggers using the chat feature. You can ask questions or join in on conversations they may have already started.
Sound fun?! It is!
If you’re a visual learner like me, then you will like this great video created by Donna at Funky Junk Interiors. It will give you a better feel for the app and how to navigate through it.

It is truly a joy to be a part of the bHome mobile app community. With my travel schedule, it is a dream to be able to access my favorite blogs and magazines (all of them on bHome) from anywhere I am!….truly an amazing app and so easy to use, even for this tech challenged person. I love the narrative of the beginning of this post, as it gives me fond memories of my dad who always said that too!!

I love this app! It’s a great way to keep up to date with all the blogs you follow. Sometimes I don’t have time to sit at my computer, so it allows me to get a quick glimpse at everything and save stuff that catches my eye! Love it!
