I think the entire U.S. is going to breath a collective sigh of relief and joy when spring finally makes its appearance this year. It has been a long, stormy and cold winter across almost the entire nation.
My kids stayed home from school today because of an ice/sleet storm yesterday and subsequent icy roads. I think the school year will be going well in to June due to the number of ice days this winter.
All of that is to say that we are more than ready for spring around here!
I found a few things as I was shopping the other day to lift me out of the winter doldrums.
Today, I put together a little spring tablescape for two with my finds.
I found this little pot of white muscari (grape hyacinth) at the grocery store and couldn’t resist.
It’s still growing and blooming so I think I’ll be able to enjoy this for awhile.
I just love bulbs in the spring, don’t you?
I found these cute little silver buckets at Target in the dollar section. I think they’re so fun!
I mixed my brown transferware plates with some pink salad plates I found at Home Goods last year and put them atop my wicker chargers I bought at World Market last fall.
I love the texture of the chargers, they remind me a little of a nest.
I love the freshness and the colors of spring. And, if the weather is cooperating, we’ll just make it spring indoors!

Ok, I have NO right to say this living where I do, but I am ready for Spring too. I can smell it in the air…we just had several days of much needed rain & now everything is budding. Out cars will be green with pollen for a while & a few sneezes but the flowers are coming! Lovely tablescape Julie!
I love it all! I would have never thought to put pink plates with brown transferware. It looks wonderful!
What a great table! I agree…we are all going to be so happy to see spring we won’t know what to do w/ ourselves. We had two snow days here this week too. arrrrrrhhhhhhhh! Love that plant. I think I’m going to find something similar to cheer up my kitchen table.
Your table is beautiful!
