Inspire Me Sundays

I love to be inspired.  I love looking at pretty pictures, getting taken in by beautiful landscapes, reading stories of hope and possibility… Inspiration is everywhere if you just look for it!

Today, I’m starting a new series I’m calling, “Inspire Me Sundays.”

I plan to share all kinds of inspiring things here:  pictures of beautiful decorating, things that might catch my eye during the week, stories I’ve heard that inspired me, cool new gadgets, fun new apps, etc. I might even have interviews with talented bloggers or other notable people here!

My hope is that you might get inspired too and maybe learn about things you didn’t know about before.  I think it will be fun!

Let’s get started!

1.  I am in love with this kitchen decorated by Holly Mathis.  Love, love, LOVE!   I don’t even know what else to say.

2.  I’m trying to think of a place I can use this fabric from Schumacher that’s on this pillow below.  It’s the Chiang Mai Dragon pattern.  I know I’ve seen it before but it keeps popping up in all kinds of places lately and I’m loving it all over again! (If you look closely, it’s even in the beautiful kitchen above!)

3.  I’m buying more and more of these glass storage jars lately:

Anchor Hocking 2-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid

Again, it’s something I see everywhere and I’ve had one storing my flour for several months.  This week, I bought another one for my sugar and a few weeks ago I bought a small one for the trail mix we munch on every day.

The huge, 2-gallon size is my favorite for storing flour and sugar.  You can measure your ingredients over the opening and almost inside the jar itself so you don’t spill on the counter.  And, I can stay stocked up on ingredients which is a big help during busy baking seasons like the holidays and during the winter when I bake the most.  Plus, they’re so cute!  What’s not to love?

4.  My new measuring cups from World Market.

I bought these a few weeks ago because, truth be told, my eyesight isn’t what it used to be.  I was having trouble reading the small numbers on my old ones and love these huge, easy to read measurements.  Plus, the springtime colors make me happy!

5.  Have you seen this new phone App called, Waterlogue?  I’ve been seeing it all over Instagram the past few days and it is so much fun!

It turns your everyday snapshots into watercolor paintings:

It costs$2.99 and I think I’ll be getting my money’s worth playing on it.  Watercolor seems to make everything look so much more interesting, don’t you think?

So, that’s what’s catching my eye this week…what’s inspiring you?

I like the idea of sharing things that inspire you. I’ve thought many times that other bloggers inspire me to do things and they may never know. Of course that kitchen is to die for!! I have some of those jars on my counter…one has coffee and one has dog bones. The important things in life. :)

I’m in love w/ those glass jars too. I got two from Target for my tea bags. I even found (in the craft aisle) black ‘chalk board” label stickers so I can write “black tea” or “green tea”. love.
