The taste testers in my family can be tougher than Gordon Ramsay.
Well, that might be a slight exaggeration, but my kids are quick to tell me what they don’t like and they certainly don’t get excited when I experiment in the kitchen.
Last night, I had chicken breasts I needed to cook but I had forgotten to marinate them. So, I did a quick Internet search and found a basic sauteed chicken recipe on Spoonful.com.
The picture on the site looks like this:
Yum!
The sauteed chicken I cooked last night looked like this:
Not quite as pretty as the Spoonful picture, but still yummy.
(You’ll notice I only put the parsley on some of the chicken — those are the pieces my husband and I were eating because I knew the kids would complain about something green on their food.)
The chicken was excellent and the kids not only ate it but told me they loved it! Score!
When both kids and my husband give a recipe a thumbs up, not only will I make it again, but I will share it with you. I’m nice like that – lol.
