Paint projects, decorating, DIY…those are just some of the fun things that were going on at the Haven Conference last weekend.
In case you’re not familiar, Haven is a conference for home and DIY bloggers. They get to laugh, have fun, practice DIY projects and meet other bloggers. I hated to miss it!
So, 24 of us decided to have our own fun and and share it with you!
For the next 5 days you’ll get to meet some new bloggers, browse great projects and be a part of our own “Haven at Home” tour!
If you are new here, welcome! I would love it if you would leave me a comment letting me know you stopped by!

Hi Julie-
I’n new to your blog from the tour and didn’t see the “before” but your dining room is Perfection! Love the creative mix of the elegant chalkboard and plates as wall art and I am completely smitten by your wall color- even your mood board is a work of art!
Cheers!

Oh My! Julie, this is gorgeous! What talent – painting, upholstering, slip covering. Wow! I love the blues mixed with the brown upholstery. All of it is stunning, and I can’t see why it’s a favorite project. laurie
Julie, I have always LOVED your blog!! Your dining room is absolutely amazing! It’s so funny, I was looking at my parent’s grandfather clock in their home this past weekend thinking.. That clock would look so much better if it was painted! I LOVE that clock! Everything about this room is amazing… the colors, the hutch, the chairs (I HATE upholstering!), the mix of painted with unpainted… I just love it all! Thank so much for your idea to have a tour! This has been fun!! Hugs! Claire
Everything! EVERYTHING! FAB!
Seriously, that is a beautiful example of time and numerous projects creating a perfect space!
So happy to be on the tour with you! What fun this is!!!!!

Just love seeing your dining room! It is gorgeous!
You have such a classic and unique style. I love how you incorporate all the natural wood pieces that are just to gorgeous to paint!
Your dining room is just beautiful. I love the color on your walls and you did a great job pulling everything together. xo Diana

All your hard work and attention to detail paid off so fabulously in this room – the chairs are just gorgeous – BUT I REALLY AM OVER THE TOP in love with your grandfather clock – I’m always on the lookout for one ( have no idea where I’d put it because I literally don’t have 2 extra inches of space at this point lol )
Beautiful beautiful job!
XOXO
Julie..great dining room makeover. I LOVE the blue in your secretary…did you paint that? Also, just saw the cow head sculpture on Decor Steals today…trying to decide if I should get it..Sooo cute!
Also, congratulations on your fabulous idea for the “Getting Creative at Home Tour”!! How wonderful to share all those ideas with the rest of us that can’t get to Haven.I am a new blogger and Etsy shop owner and although I do not have a big following yet, I will spread your word on my blog and pin the projects on Pinterest. I would love to find a support group! If you have any feedback…I truly appreciate it!
Wishing you continued success with Lilacs & Longhorns!! Debbie
Truly a beautiful room you can be proud of Julie. You must have such a sense of accomplishment having done every bit of it yourself. I love the colour combo too.
Thank you for everything you have done for the tour this week. I’m thrilled to be a part of it and having the opportunity to meet new bloggers.
You’ve got a new follower!!! Found you on the home tour – love your dining room!
