Pecan Pie Bars to DIE For {I’m Not Kidding!}

A few weeks ago I blogged about all the yummy pecan-related recipes I found while surfing the web (since my pecan tree is blessing us in abundance this year).  I showed you this pecan pie bar recipe that I wanted to try, but when I went to print it out and make it, the link wasn’t working.

I guess it was fate (no offense to the recipe I originally linked to because I haven’t actually tried it yet, but it looks perfectly delicious).  Instead of making that one, I found THIS recipe and made it instead.

Cue angels singing!

These are to die for!  Seriously!  I have made two pans of them in the last two weeks.  And, no, I haven’t eaten them all myself (although I really, really could have).

Even if you are not a big nut/pecan eater you really, truly should try this recipe.  It is pure, rich buttery goodness and I really can’t say enough about it.  (My mouth is actually watering thinking about them!)

I found the recipe at Just a Taste — a fantastic food blog that you must check out if you like to cook and bake.  The author, Kelly, knows her way around the kitchen.  A fact I would like to proclaim about myself one day.  And, thanks to her, I can now say with confidence that I know how to make a kick-bootay pecan pie bar.  And so can you if you try this recipe.

You’re welcome.

***UPDATE:  I just found this awesome US – UK baking conversion information at the wonderful blog “Sweet 2 Eat.”  I will be posting this link on my Recipes page as well so, hopefully, my UK readers can try some of my recipes now!

    Julie, those Pecan pie bars look incredible, just the sort of thing I love to eat as a sweet treat! The US-UK baking conversion is really useful; I’ll be able to try lots of the US recipes I’ve seen on Pinterest now, so thank you!

    • Glad the baking conversion will be useful for you! I was excited to find that website — I always think about the fact that US recipe measurements and some ingredients are not universal whenever I post about food. Now I can post and feel like my blog friends outside the US won’t be left out!
