Spring Wreath

The other day I showed you my new Spring door decor I made using a metal hanging bucket.

I originally planned to make a very full wreath so I bought a lot of floral supplies.  But, when I got home I remembered my tin bucket so I decided to use it instead.

As a result, I didn’t use all of my fake flowers.  Instead of returning them I  decided that I would make a wreath anyway.

My front porch wraps slightly around the side of the house so I thought it might be nice to put something over there that coordinates with the front door.

I am so glad I did!  It adds an extra bit of “welcome” to the front porch.

I bought a nest with eggs that I embellished with a little Spanish moss and I bought some cute chevron fabric ribbon at Michaels.

I love the cheery look of this Spring wreath so much!

I’m definitely ready for Spring!

Now if only the ice would go away.

    • Julie Julie says:

      Thanks, Laura!
Yes, we did and then we got about 3-4 inches of snow, and then ice again! It was crazy last week! Tomorrow’s temps are back in the 60s…can’t wait!

I love both your Spring arrangements, especially the filled bucket. I have used a bucket for my front door arrangement too but it scratched the paint on my front door. Does yours do that too? If not, can you tell me what you use on the backside to keep it from damaging the paint on your door?
Thanks and keep the ideas coming – I really love your blog :-)

Thanks, Lisa! My door is glass so I worry about scratching, too. I used those large, round felt stickers that you put on furniture and cabinet doors. The ones I used on my bucket are about an inch in diameter. They really help!

    Hi Julie~
I love both the wreath, and the tin bucket, they look like spring for sure.
We had more snow and, wind and another storm to arrive at end of week.
I am really tired of all this cold – I did decorated a bit for Easter last week, just looking at the pastel colors makes it feel like spring
    Have a wonderful day.
