Here's some food for thought (dorky, I know):
Mmmmm...I can smell it now! I love apple pie! It makes me think of the apple orchards back home in Minnesota where you could get fresh baked pies and apples right off the tree. There's nothing like a fresh-out-of-the-oven apple pie! This one is the "Easy Skillet Pie" from Southern Living. I might need to try baking this!
And then there's this apple pie with a twist -- the apple-blackberry pie -- from MyRecipes.com.
Who doesn't love cheesecake? This has a nice fall feeling to it -- Carmel Apple Brownie Cheesecake! Yum!

And, it wouldn't be fall without pecan pie. How about pecan pie bars?! Great idea!

Or pumpkin pie!

I found a pumpkin pie recipe by Paula Deen on the Food Network site. Looks like it might be worth a try sometime. It has cream cheese in it y'all!
Of course my favorite Fall foods are not just limited to dessert. How about this maple-glazed squash?

This corn and squash soup looks good on a cold day.

I also like the looks of this beef, barley and lentil soup. Tasty!

So, yes, I am excited about Fall decorating and getting my home all cozy. But I have to tell you I am equally excited about all the good comfort food that we'll be cooking up over the next few months! I guess I'd better get exercising for all those calories I'm going to consume!
Do you have any Fall favorites?
Yummm! I love fall foods as well. They are like comfort food to me. I admit I have never made a homemade apple pie! I am definitely going to make one soon.
